Meet the cuteness behind Gourdanen. Gourd & Squash.

Squash is my old lady and the OG shiba in the family. She is 12 and getting slower in her age. Gourd is 6, covid dog, and we are a pair through and through. Gourd is my heart.

I have a million different names for them. Squash gets squashy, squishy, squashisita, fat dog (she has leaned up now), squishy squash.

Gourd gets gourney, gourdo, gourn, dumb face. GOURDANEN though is the most popular nickname, and when I was thinking of what to name my company my husband wouldn’t let me choose anything except that. “There is no better name” is all he would say on repeat.

Then we argued about how to spell it.
